Callouts 2017-04-07T16:47:47+00:00

Every now and then, a lift may experience a fault that causes its functioning to become worse, or even lead to it breaking down entirely.

In these events, ACE Lifts can send out one of our local engineers who can attend site and rectify the issue. This is usually possible during the initial visit, however if repairs are required there will need to be a return journey. Of course, you must consent to these repairs before we perform them; we won’t pressure you into repairs you don’t want.

Do you need an engineer to fix your lift?

We can help, and you don’t need to worry. Whether your lift has a minor fault or has broken down, we will endeavour to get it fixed for you.

Requesting Callouts

Call ACE Lifts on 01244 525999

We will give your call out top priority, regardless of whether you are a current customer or not

Usually, a person trapped in a lift can contact the lift’s service provider using the in-car autodialler. In the event that they do not have access to this, we can be called to site using the normal call out procedure.

  1. Call ACE Lifts’ Operations department at 01244 525999
  2. Have the details of the current fault available
    1. Where is the lift stuck in the shaft?
    2. How many people are inside?
  3. Confirm your details with Operations and ensure that you have given them the best contact details to get you on for updates
  4. An engineer will be dispatched to your site as soon as possible. ACE Lifts aims to arrive on site within 1 hour for emergency trap ins

Check what your contract covers – for example, a comprehensive contract covers your cost of call outs and repairs (unless the fault is due to misuse). If you don’t have a reference, don’t worry; our Operations team has access to your records which will contain your contract details.

Should you need a call out:

  1. Call ACE Lifts’ Operations department at 01244 525999
  2. Have the details of the current fault available
    1. What is wrong with your lift?
    2. How long has it had this problem?
    3. Can the engineer access the site?
  3. Confirm your details with Operations and ensure that you have given them the best contact details to get you on for updates
  4. An engineer will be dispatched to your site as soon as possible. ACE Lifts aims to arrive on site within 4 hours for their contract customers – they will contact you when they are en route

After the call out, you will receive your job report detailing what issues were found and whether they have been rectified. If your lift requires further work, you can request a quote for them to be completed by us.

Without a contract, you may not be given priority over ACE Lifts customers should there be a conflict between call out jobs. You will also be charged at non-customer rates unless you decide to sign up for a contract following the call out. You can find out more about the service contracts we offer here.

If you set up a contract with us following the initial visit, we will still charge you at customer rates as a ‘thank you’ for choosing us to maintain your lift.
